I have an M1 Max Studio and an M2 Pro Mini.  There would not appear to be any cause for me to improve either.  I actually like & use all the ports around the Studio.  Frankly I prefer the older Mini as well as the Studio kind aspects way too.  Apple will get carried away with creating issues thinner and smaller sized with out regard to utility.
